Welcoming Ellen Kutzer to the Alliance Board of Directors
Ellen Kutzer
Ellen is an energy attorney whose career spans the Colorado Attorney General's Office, Western Resource Advocates, and most recently General Counsel for the Colorado Solar and Storage Association, where she shaped legal strategy through some of Colorado's most consequential clean energy decisions. She now moves into a government affairs role at Jupiter Power, bringing deep fluency in electric utility law and PUC proceedings to the energy storage sector.
What interests you about The Alliance?
I am interested in the role the Alliance continues to play as a space to gather tenant organizations, community groups, and leaders working toward collective community action. The pandemic showed how easily those connections can fray when physical connection goes away. I believe maintaining community spaces like Alliance is important to foster continued connection and encourage the collaboration necessary to fight for positive change.
Why did you decide to join the Alliance Center Board?
The Alliance Center has been an amazing force for good in Denver and Colorado for many years. As a former tenant, I realize that having a workspace was valuable, but supporting the people and organizations around it were what really mattered. Joining the board is a chance to give back to the same community I got a great deal from.
