DENVER’S CLIMATE TARGETS: BE PART OF THE SOLUTION

AUGUST 21, 5:30 PM | THE ALLIANCE CENTER | 1536 Wynkoop Street, Denver, CO

Following Mayor Hancock’s announcement of an updated 80×50 Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2050, and the goal to transition Denver to 100% renewable electricity by 2030 as part of the 80X50 plan, the City and County of Denver and The Alliance Center are hosting a stakeholder engagement event where you will be a part of climate action in our beautiful city!

Please join us on Tuesday, August 21, at 5 p.m. to learn more about the updated 80×50 plan and new bold targets for the building sector, transportation, mobility,and renewable energy. You will gain a greater understanding of where our city’s emissions come from, why the city is prioritizing certain strategies, and ways to take action. You will also have the opportunity to provide feedback and voice which actions you/your community is interestedand willing to participate.

We will hear from a panel of expertsfrom Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE)who will explain what our greatest sources of emissions are, and will discuss strategies on how emissions could be reduced while enhancing economic development opportunities, consumer savings, a healthier environment, and public infrastructure for all.
