Best for Colorado Award Celebration Event Volunteer
Help The Alliance Center host a successful event, celebrating the achievements of responsible businesses in Colorado! Our Best for Colorado Awards Celebration will take place the evening of June 6 at Mile High Station, and we have several opportunities for volunteers to help:
- Welcoming guests
- Checking in guests / registration
- Name Tag station
- Helping move guests from reception to program area
- Coat Check
Food and drinks will be provided for all volunteers! There are multiple volunteer positions needed, between 5 and 9 p.m. Learn more about the event here.
As a programs volunteer, you will have the opportunity to support this vision through work in three programmatic impact areas: Environment, Economy, and Communities.
Our Climate + program seeks to draw public attention to climate change through storytelling and data driven information. Climate + aims to breach the gap between acknowledging climate change and understanding how each one of us, and our communities, will be affected. Ultimately, the purpose of this project is to inspire people of all backgrounds to take action.
The Alliance Center is specially interested in GIS/mapping students to volunteer with gathering map project data to create visualizations and build effective visual communications materials.
Desired competencies are:
- Basic knowledge of GIS/Mapping
- Comfort using Esri’s products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS online)
- A solid understanding of the challenges of climate change mitigation and adaptation at the local and regional level
- Able to commit to a minimum of six hours per week
There are lots of opportunities to help work toward a sustainable future at The Alliance Center! From administrative support to event staffing to sharing skills like graphic design, we would love to work with you!
